The Third Man Theme - Susan Boyle

susan boyle nov 2011 album song this will be the year

Toast to me, hold up my glass, to all mistakes I've made.
Good intentions washed away, as soon as spring time came.
I danced a summer, fell an autumn, another candle blown.
Now winter's come around again, and back where I began.
And even though you heard it all, I know you don't believe.
Let me keep the last thing left for me.
This will be the year, the year

[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricenter.com/e59070-susan_boyle~this_will_be_the_year_lyrics.html ]
The year I learn to take some time, to stop and breathe it in.
To keep a promise to myself, to finish what I begin.
Bad habits stop, no more regrets, a step out of the red.
Open arms and an open heart to all that lies ahead.
And even though you've heard it all, and I know you don't believe,
Let me keep the last thing left for me.
This will be the year, the year.

My faith carries me, I'll keep holding on.
And I will (?) to find me, what I've been doing wrong.
I know you don't believe, but just for me, can't you pretend?
That you'll never ever hear me say these words again.

I know this time I won't be late, this time I will arrive.
Save my tears, save my doubts, this time I will try.
I know I can be better, I promise I'll be strong.
I'll make (?) where I had been, seeing all alone.
I know you've heard it all before, and I know you don't believe,
But let me keep the last thing left for me.
This will be the year, the year.

The First Star - Susan Boyle

"Sukiyaki (Ue O Muite Arukō / The First Star)"

Look at the sky
There are stars shining bright
Make a wish, as you did as a child
Even if you don't move for awhile
It doesn't mean that you're crying

Look at the sky
Look for the first star this night
It will lead the star parade blue and white
Even if you don't find it tonight
It doesn't mean that you're not trying

Spring will come soon, greens awaiting to grow
Summer afternoon, we are all moving slow

Look at the sky
And find the man in the moon
Casting a spell or riding his swing and croon
And if you are not in the mood
It always helps to keep on trying

Lalala [humming]
Even if you don't move for awhile
It doesn't mean that you're crying

Autumn is here now, filled with colorful leaves
Winter will take a bow, with its silverly peaks

Look at the sky
There are stars shining bright
Make a wish, as you did as a child
Even if you don't speak for awhile
It always means that you're still wishing

It always means that you're still wishing

You Are My Sunshine - Susan Boyle

You Are My Sunshine
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away
The other nite, dear,
As I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you in my arms.
When I awoke, dear,
I was mistaken
And I hung my head and cried.
You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.
I'll always love you
And make you happy
If you will only say the same
But if you leave me
To love another
You'll regret it all some day;
You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.
You told me once, dear
You really loved me
And no one else could come between
But now you've left me
And love another
You have shattered all my dreams;
You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.
Louisiana my Louisiana
the place where I was borne.
White fields of cotton
-- green fields clover,
the best fishing
and long tall corn;
You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.
Crawfish gumbo and jambalaya
the biggest shrimp and sugar cane,
the finest oysters
and sweet strawberries
from Toledo Bend to New Orleans;
You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
When skies are grey.
You'll never know, dear,
How much I love you.
Please don't take my sunshine away.

Silent Night

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round your Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth

Silent night, holy night
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing alleluia
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born

You have to be There

A Mother's Prayer

I pray you'll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don't know

Let this be our prayer
When we lose our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
To a place where we'll be safe

I pray we'll find your light
And hold (s*) it in our hearts
When stars go out each night
Remind us where you are

Let this be our prayer
When shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe

A world where pain and sorrow will be ended
And every heart that's broken will be mended
And we'll remember we are all god’s children
Reaching out to touch you
Reaching to the stars

We ask that life be Kind
And watch us from above
We hope each soul will find
Another soul to love

Let this be your prayer
Just like every child
Needs to find a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe

Needs to find a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger,
no crib for His bed,
The little Lord Jesus
lay down his sweet head.
The stars in the sky
looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus,
asleep on the hay.

The cattle are lowing,
the poor Baby wakes,
But little Lord Jesus,
no crying He makes;
I love Thee, Lord Jesus,
look down from the sky
And stay by my cradle
till morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus,
I ask Thee to stay,
Close by me forever,
and love me, I pray!
Bless all the dear children
in Thy tender care
And take us to heaven,
to Live with Thee there.

O Holy Night

O Holy Night

O holy night, the stars are brightly shining;
It is the night of the dear Savior’s birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope, the weary soul rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.

Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Led by the light of faith serenely beaming,
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming,
Here came the wise men from Orient land.
The King of kings lay thus in lowly manger,
In all our trials born to be our friend!

Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Truly He taught us to love one another;
His law is love and His Gospel is peace.
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His Name all oppression shall cease.
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy Name!

Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born!
O night, O holy night, O night divine!

Susan Boyle- Do You Hear What I hear

Said the night wind to the little lamb,  Do you see what I see?
Way up in the sky, little lamb, Do you see what I see?
A star, a star, dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite, with a tail as big as a kite."

Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy, Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing through the sky, shepherd boy, Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song high above the trees
With a voice as big as the sea, with a voice as big as the sea."

Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king, Do you know what I know?
In your palace warm, mighty king, Do you know what I know?
A Child, a Child shivers in the cold--
Let us bring him silver and gold, let us bring him silver and gold."
Let us bring him silver and gold, let us bring him silver and gold."

Do you know what I know?
Do you see what I see?
Do you hear what I hear?

SUSAN BOYLE - THE FIRST NOEL

The First Noel, the Angels did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep
On a cold winter's night that was so deep.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

They looked up and saw a star
Shining in the East beyond them far
And to the earth it gave great light
And so it continued both day and night.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel
Born is the King of Israel!
Born is the King of Israel!

Susan Boyle & Daniel O'Donnell Sing Our Lady of Knock

++

Fr. Bill’s CD Lyrics

Paintbrush in the Green: (Silent Mother) Lady of Knock

(This one’s truly Irish because Dana wrote it! I composed the little intro—which becomes a descant—while in Ireland a few years back!)

Silent Mother, Blessed Virgin, Queen of Angels
Heart of love so sweet
You came to comfort, Holy Lady
Now you smile on every pilgrim gathered at your feet!
There were people of all ages gathered round the gable walls
Poor and humble men and women, little children that you called
We are gathered here before you and our hearts are just the same
Filled with joy at such a vision as we bless your name
Golden Rose, Queen of Ireland
All my cares and troubles cease
As I kneel with love before you
Lady of Knock, my Queen of Peace
O your message was unspoken, but the truth in silence lies
So I gaze upon your vision and the truth I’ve tried to find
Here you stand with John the teacher and with Joseph at your side
And I see the Lamb of God on the altar glorified
Golden Rose, Queen of Ireland
All my cares and troubles cease
As I kneel with love before you
Lady of Knock, my Queen of Peace
And the Lamb will conquer
And the woman clothed with the sun
Will shine her light on everyone
Yes the Lamb will conquer
And the woman clothed with the sun
Will shine her light on everyone!
Golden Rose, Queen of Ireland
All my cares and troubles cease
As I kneel with love before you
Lady of Knock, my Queen of Peace
add into as DESCANT…)
Lady of Knock, my Queen of Peace!

Susan Boyle - Amazing Grace

Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me I once was lost but now am found was blind, but now I see t'was grace that taught my heart to fear and grace my fears relieved how precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come t'is grace that brought me safe thus far and grace will lead me home when we've been there ten thousand years bright shining as the sun we've no less days to sing God's praise than when we first begun.

Susan Boyle - Unchained Melody - Strictly Come Dancing - 2011

Oh, my love my darling I've hungered for your touch are you still mine?
I need your love  I need your love Godspeed your love to me

Lonely rivers flow to the sea, to the sea to the open arms of the sea
Lonely rivers sigh 'wait for me, wait for me'
I'll be coming home wait for me

Susan Boyle sings "The Way We Were" (Barbra Streisand) -1984 -

Can it be that it was all so simple then Or has time rewritten every line If we had the chance to do it all again Tell me would we could we

Memories Light the corners of my mind Misty water color memories Of the way we were

Scattered pictures Of the smiles we left behind Smiles we gave to one another For the way we were

Can it be that it was all so simple then Or has time rewritten every line If we had the chance to do it all again Tell me - Could we? Would we?

Memories May be beautiful and yet What's too painful to remember We simply choose to forget So it's the laughter We will remember Forever we remember The way we were The way we were

susan boyle singing- Killing Me Softly

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly
With his song

oooooo

I heard he sang a good song
I heard he had a style
And so I came to see him and listen for awhile
And there he was this young boy
A stranger to my eyes

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly
With his song

I felt all flushed with fever
Embarrassed by the crowd
I felt he found my letters and read each one out loud
I pray that he would finish
But he just kept right on

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly
With his song

He sang as if he knew me
In all my dark despair
And then he looked right through me as if I was not there
And he just kept on singing,
Singing clear and strong

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly
With his song

oooooo
la la la la la la
oooooo
la la laaaaa.
la la la laaaaa

Strumming my pain with his fingers
Singing my life with his words
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly
With his song

He was strumming my pain
Yeah he was singing my life
Killing me softly with his song
Killing me softly with his song
Telling my whole life with his words
Killing me softly with his song

Susan Boyle - Daydream Believer

Oh, I could hide 'neath the wings of the bluebird as she sings
The six o'clock alarm would never ring
But it rings and I rise wipe the sleep out of my eyes
The shavin' razor's cold, and it stings

Cheer up, sleepy Jean, oh what can it mean
To a daydream believer and a homecoming queen?

You once thought of me as a white knight on his steed
Now you know how happy I can be
Oh, and our good times start and end without dollar one to spend
But how much baby do we really need?

Cheer up, sleepy Jean, oh what can it mean
To a daydream believer and a homecoming queen?
Cheer up, sleepy Jean, oh what can it mean
To a daydream believer and a homecoming queen?

Cheer up, sleepy Jean, oh what can it mean
To a daydream believer and a homecoming queen?
Cheer up, sleepy Jean, oh what can it mean
To a daydream believer and a homecoming queen?

Cheer up, sleepy Jean, oh what can it mean
To a daydream believer and a homecoming queen?

Susan Boyle - In Susan's Own Words

Susan Boyle Up The Mountain

Up To The Mountain lyrics
Songwriters: Griffin, Patricia J.

I went up to the mountain because you asked me to
Up over the clouds to where the sky was blue
I could see all around me everywhere
I could see all around me everywhere

Sometimes I feel like I've never been nothing but tired
And I'll be walking till the day I expire
So sometimes I just lay me down, no more can I do
But then I go on again because you ask me to

Some days I look down afraid, afraid I will fall
And though the sun shines I see nothing, nothing at all
Then I hear your, your sweet voice, ooh
Come and then go, come and then go
Lord, telling me softly you love me so

Susan Boyle ~ "Both Sides Now" & Interview ~ The View (4 Nov 11)

Rows and flows of angel hair and ice cream
Castles in the air and feathered canyons everywhere
I've looked at clouds that way
But now they only block the sun

They rain and snow on everyone
So many things I would have done
But clouds got in my way

I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
It's clouds illusions I recall
I really don't know clouds at all

Moons and Junes and Ferris wheels
The dizzy dancing way you feel
As every fairy tale comes real
I've looked at love that way

But now it's just another show
You leave 'em laughing when you go
And if you care, don't let them know
Don't give yourself away

I've looked at love from both sides now
From give and take, and still somehow
It's love's illusions I recall
I really don't know love at all

Tears and fears and feeling proud
To say, "I love you", right out loud
Dreams and schemes and circus
Crowds, I've looked at life that way

But now old friends are acting
Strange, they shake their heads
They say I've changed
Something's lost but something's
Gained in living every day

I've looked at life from both sides now
From win and lose, and still somehow
It's life's illusions I recall
I really don't know life at all

Susan Boyle - The End of the World

The End Of The World lyrics
Why does the sun go on shining?
Why does the sea rush to the shore?
Don't they know it's the end of the world
'Cause you don't love me anymore?

Why do the birds go on singing?
Why do the stars glow above?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when I lost your love

I wake up in the morning and I wonder
Why everything's the same as it was
I can't understand, no I can't understand
How life goes on the way it does

Why does my heart go on beating?
Why do these eyes of mine cry?
Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye

Don't they know it's the end of the world?
It ended when you said goodbye

SUSAN BOYLE - Susan Boyle "Mad World"

All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for the daily races
Going nowhere, going no where

The tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow

No tomorrow, o tomorrow

And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
In dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very very
Mad world, mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy birthday, happy birthday

I want to feel the way that every child should
Sits and listen, sits and listen

I went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me

Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Looked right through me, she looked right through me

And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
In dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very very
Mad world, mad world

And I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
In dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very very

Mad world, sad world, mad world, mad world

Susan Boyle - Return

Return, return to me
Don't leave me here
With nothing but the feeling of falling
Return, return to me
Our memory can hold me in it's arms in the morning
You know with all that I've enjoyed
You were my strength and more
Knowing you're gone but I pray for your
Return, return to me
Don't let me be alone without a hope that your love brings

I know the world sees what it wants to see
But only you knew me
I sing to you and the memories

Return, return to me
Don't let anyone, anything
Come between us

Return
Just promise me
And forever
If I lost anything
Are you forever
This worship break into
Forever

I will pray till you
Return
Return

Susan Boyle - You Have To Be There

Susan Boyle - You Have To Be There
What is it Lord that you want
That I am not seeing?
What in my ignorant prayers
Am I failing to say?
Never before have I questioned the truth of your being
Never once have I dared
Never until toda

All of a tremble
I stand on the edge of confusion
Who is to save me
If into the darkness I fall?
Now that I need more than ever my God to be near me
Do you hear when I call?
Are you there after all?

You have to be there, you have to
My life I have placed in thy keep
And without you I am drifting on a dark and stormy sea
You have to be there, you have to
Without you I’d drown in the deep
Too far, too far from land
The waters drag me down
I reach for your hand

And when I die will throw open his arms to receive me?
Who will forgive me and take me and show me his face?
When I go to my rest, who will watch me and wake me?
When my time comes at last, will you grant me your grace?
I am so small of this Earth, I am nothing without you
Daring to doubt you at all turns a knife in my heart
Little by little I’m losing my way in the shadows
I am losing my hope and the world falls apart

You do have to be there, you have to
My life I have placed in thy keep
And without you I am drifting on a dark and stormy sea
You have to be there, you have to
Without you I’d drown in the deep
Too far, too far from land
The waters drag me down
I reach for your hand

You have to be there, you have to
Too far, too far from land
The waters drag me down

I reach for your hand

Susan Boyle and Barbra Streisand - Cry Me A River

Now you say you're lonely
You cried the long night through
Well, you can cry me a river
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you

Now you say you're sorry
For being so untrue
Well, you can cry me a river
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you

You drove me,
Nearly drove me out of my head
While you never shed a tear
Remember
I remember all that you said
Told me love was to plebeian
Told me you were through with me
And now you say you love me
Well, just prove that you do
Cry me a river
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you

SUSAN BOYLE - SUSAN IN THE WORLD

SUSAN BOYLE - THE EXTRAORDINARY SUSAN

Susan Boyle and Geraldine McQueen

Nothing is so good it lasts eternally, | Perfect situations must go wrong,
But this has never yet prevented me, | Wanting far too much,
For far too long,

Looking back, | I could have played it differently,
Won a few more moments, | Who can tell,
But it took time to understand the man,
Now at least I know | I know him well

Wasn't it good? | (Oh so good)
Wasn't he fine? | (Oh so fine)
Isn't it madness, | He can't be mine?
But in the end | He needs a little bit
More than me, | More security,
He needs his fantasy and freedom,
I know him so well

No-one in your life is with you constantly,
No-one is completely on your side,
And though I'd move my world to be with him,
Still the gap between us is too wide,

Looking back, | (Looking back)
I could have played it differently,
(I could have played it some other way),
Won a few more moments, | Who can tell,
(I was just a little careless)
But I was ever so much younger then,
(Maybe, so much younger then)
Now at least I know | I know him well

Wasn't it good? | (Oh so good)
Wasn't he fine? | (Oh so fine)
Isn't it madness, | He won't be mine?

Didn't I know? | How it would go,
If I knew from the start, | Why am I falling apart?

Wasn't it good | Wasn't he fine? | Isn't it madness, |  He won't be mine?
But in the end, | He needs a little bit | More than me, | More security,
He needs his fantasy and freedom, | I know him so well,
It took time to understand him, | I know him so well.

Susan Boyle - Enjoy the Silence

Enjoy The Silence by Susan Boyle

Words like violence
Break the silence
Come crashing in
Into my little world
Painful to me
Pierce right through me
Can't you understand
Oh my little boy

All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm

Vows are spoken
To be broken
Feelings are intense
Words are trivial
Pleasures remain
So does the pain
Word are meaningless
And forgettable

All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm

Susan Boyle - I Dreamed A Dream - LIVE

I dreamed a dream in time gone by, When hope was high, And life worth living, I dreamed that love would never die, I prayed that God would be forgiving.

Then I was young and unafraid, And dreams were made and used, And wasted, There was no ransom to be paid, No song unsung, No wine untasted.

But the tigers come at night, With their voices as soft as thunder, As they tear your hopes apart, And they turn your dreams to shame.

Still I dream he'll come to me, And we will live the years together, But there are dreams that cannot be, And there are storms we cannot weather.

I had a dream my life would be, So different from this hell I'm living, So different now from what it seemed, Now life has killed the dream, I dreamed.

Susan Boyle live - I Dreamed A Dream @ TV Show 19-3-2010 Dutch

Susan Boyle Live in Amsterdam

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high
And life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I prayed that God would be forgiving.

Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used
And wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung
No wine untasted.

But the tigers come at night
With their voices as soft as thunder
As they tear your hopes apart
And they turn your dreams to shame.

Still I dream he'll come to me
And we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather.

I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I'm living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream, I dreamed.

Susan Boyle - Cry Me A River

Now you say you're lonely,
You cry the long night through.
Come on, and cry me a river,
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you.

Now you say you're sorry,
For being so untrue
Come on, and cry me a river,
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you.

* You drove me,
Nearly drove me out of my head
While you never shed a tear.
Remember?
I remember all that you said
Told me love was too plebeian,
Told me you were through with me
And now you say you loved me
Well, just to prove you do

Cry me a river
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you

Now you say you love me,
Well, just to prove you do
Come on and cry me a river,
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you. *

Exclusive: Susan Boyle - I Don't Know How to Love Him

I don’t know how to love him.
What to do, how to move him.
I’ve been changed, yes really changed.
In these past few days, when I’ve seen myself,
I seem like someone else.

I don’t know how to take this.
I don’t see why he moves me.
He’s a man. He’s just a man.
And I’ve had so many men before,
In very many ways,
He’s just one more.

Refrain:
Should I bring him down?
Should I scream and shout?
Should I speak of love,
Let my feelings out?
I never thought I’d come to this.
What’s it all about?

Don’t you think it’s rather funny,
I should be in this position.
I’m the one who’s always been
So calm, so cool, no lover’s fool,
Running every show.
He scares me so. (Refrain)

Yet, if he said he loved me,
I’d be lost. I’d be frightened.
I couldn’t cope, just couldn’t cope.
I’d turn my head. I’d back away.
I wouldn’t want to know.
He scares me so.
I want him so.
I love him so.

Susan Boyle - Who I Was Born To Be

When I was a child, I could see the wind in the trees. And I heard a song in the breeze,  it was there, singing out my name. But I am not a girl I have known the taste of defeat and I've finally grown to believe it will all come around again.

[Chorus:] Though I may not know the answers I can finally say I am free And if the questions led me here then, I am who I was born to be.

So here am I open arms and ready to stand I've got the world in my hands And it feels like my turn to fly.  [Chorus]

When I was a child there were flowers that bloomed in the night. Unafraid to take in the light,  unashamed to have braved the dark.  [Chorus]

I am who I was born to be.

(Please wait for a minute of Bible Reading: Psalm 8:1-9)

How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

Make Me A Channel of Your Peace

Make me a channel of your peace
Where there is hatred let me bring your love
Where there is injury, your pardon Lord
And where there is doubt true faith in You

Make me a channel of your peace
Where there is despair in life let me bring hope
Where there is darkness only light
And where there's sadness ever joy

Oh, Master grant that I may never seek

So much to be consoled as to console
To be understood as to understand
To be loved as to love with all my soul

Make me a channel of your peace
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned
It is in giving to all men that we receive
And in dying that we are born to eternal life

Susan Boyle - You'll See with Lyrics

You think that I can't live without your love, you'll see,
You think I can't go on another day
You think I have nothing without you by my side,
You'll see, somehow, someday

You think that I can never laugh again, you'll see
You think that you destroyed my faith in love
You think after all you've done I'll never find my way back home
You'll see somehow, someday

All by myself, I don't need anyone at all
I know I'll survive, I know I'll stay alive
All on my own, I don't need anyone this time
It will be mine, no one can take it from me, you'll see

You think that you are strong but you are weak, you'll see
It takes more strength to cry, admit defeat
I have truth on my side, you only have deceit
You'll see, somehow, someday

All by myself, I don't need anyone at all
I know I'll survive, I know I'll stay alive
I'll stand on my own, I won't need anyone this time
It will be mine, no one can take it from me

You'll see, you'll see, you'll see

Susan Boyle - Wild Horses - live on GMTV

Susan Boyle - Wild Horses Lyrics
Original song by the Rolling Stones.

Childhood living is easy to do
The things you wanted I bought them for you
Graceless lady you know who I am
You know I cant let you slide through my hands

Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, couldn’t drag me away
I watched you suffer a dull aching pain
Now you decided to show me the same

No sweeping exits or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter or treat you unkind
Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, couldn’t drag me away

I know I dreamed you a sin and a lie
I have my freedom but I don’t have much time
Faith has been broken, tears must be cried
Lets do some living after we die

Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, well ride them some day
Wild horses couldn’t drag me away
Wild, wild horses, well ride them some day

Memory - Susan Boyle

Found at: FilesTube

Midnight
Not a sound from the pavement
Has the moon lost her memory?
She is smiling alone
In the lamplight
The withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan

Every streetlamp
Seems to beat a fatalistic warning
Someone mutters
And the streetlamp gutters
And soon it will be morning

Daylight
I must wait for the sunrise
I must think of a new life
And I mustn't give in
When the dawn comes
Tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin

Touch me
It's so easy to leave me
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun
If you touch me
You'll understand what happiness is

Look
A new day has begun.

Perfect Day - Susan Boyle

Just a perfect day
Drink sangria in the park
And then later, when it gets dark,
We’ll go home

Just a perfect day
Feed animals in the zoo
Then later a movie too,
And then home

Oh it’s such a perfect day
I’m glad I spent it with you
Oh such a perfect day
You just keep me hanging on
You just keep me hanging on

Just a perfect day
Problems all left alone
Weekenders on our own
It’s such a fun

Just a perfect day
You make me forget myself
I thought I was someone else
Someone good

Oh it’s such a perfect day
I’m glad I spent it with you
Oh such a perfect day
You just keep me hanging on
You just keep me hanging on

You’re going to reap just what you sow
You’re going to reap just what you sow
You’re going to reap just what you sow
You’re going to reap just what you sow

Hallelujah - Susan Boyle - Lyrics

Now, I've heard there was a secret chord, that David played and it pleased the Lord. But you don't really care for music do you? It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth. The minor fall, the major lift. The baffled king composing Hallelujah.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Your faith was strong, but you needed proof. You saw her bathing on the roof. Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you. She tied you to a kitchen chair. She broke your throne and she cut your hair. And from your lips, she drew the Hallelujah.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Baby, I have been here before. I've seen this room and I've walked this floor. I used to live alone before I knew you.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Susan Boyle ~ People of the Year ~ sings "Auld Lang Syne"

Should auld acquaintance be forgot, | And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot, | And auld lang syne?

Chorus:
For auld lang syne, my dear, | For auld lang syne.
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet, | For auld lang syne.

And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp! | And surely I'll be mine!
We'll tak' a right good willie-waught, | For auld lang syne.

Wings To Fly - Susan Boyle

*Want to spread my wings and fly | Away into the sky
*How I dream to be so free | No more sadness no more pain
*No more anger no more hate | How I dream to have those wings
*And fly into the sky

If now, I could grant my wish | I'd wish to have those wings
Those wings just like the birds | That fly up in the air
So high up in the air | With feathers bright and fair
No wealth nor power can make | My heart filled with such joy (*)

Up high (*)  | The sky... oh...

Don't Dream It's Over - Susan Boyle

Happy Birthday Susan Boyle!

There is freedom within, | There is freedom without,
Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup | There's a battle ahead,
Many battles are lost, | But you'll never see the end of the road
while you're traveling with me

Hey now, hey now | Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now | When the world comes in
They come, they come | To build a wall between us
We know they won't win

Now I'm towing my car, there's a hole in the roof
My possessions are causing me suspicion but there's no proof
In the paper today, tales of war and of waste
But you turn right over to the T.V. page

Hey now, hey now | Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now | When the world comes in
They come, they come | To build a wall between us
We know they won't win

(music)

Hey now, hey now | Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now | When the world comes in
They come, they come | To build a wall between us
We know they won't win

Susan Boyle & Elaine Paige - I Know Him So Well (Duet Song) - Video & Lyric

Nothing is so good it lasts eternally, | Perfect situations must go wrong,
But this has never yet prevented me, | Wanting far too much,
For far too long,

Looking back, | I could have played it differently,
Won a few more moments, | Who can tell,
But it took time to understand the man,
Now at least I know | I know him well

Wasn't it good? | (Oh so good)
Wasn't he fine? | (Oh so fine)
Isn't it madness, | He can't be mine?
But in the end | He needs a little bit
More than me, | More security,
He needs his fantasy and freedom,
I know him so well

No-one in your life is with you constantly,
No-one is completely on your side,
And though I'd move my world to be with him,
Still the gap between us is too wide,

Looking back, | (Looking back)
I could have played it differently,
(I could have played it some other way),
Won a few more moments, | Who can tell,
(I was just a little careless)
But I was ever so much younger then,
(Maybe, so much younger then)
Now at least I know | I know him well

Wasn't it good? | (Oh so good)
Wasn't he fine? | (Oh so fine)
Isn't it madness, | He won't be mine?

Didn't I know? | How it would go,
If I knew from the start, | Why am I falling apart?

Wasn't it good | Wasn't he fine? | Isn't it madness, | He won't be mine?
But in the end, | He needs a little bit | More than me, | More security,
He needs his fantasy and freedom, | I know him so well,
It took time to understand him, | I know him so well.

A Reflection

God of New Beginnings
I come before You with an open heart and outstretched arms
Seeking guidance as I reach beyond myself
To find Your Love in everyone I meet and everyone I sing for
I ask that my arms might embraced Your Spirit
And that my eyes continue to see You in others
As I celebrate Your Love.
I ask for the strength and patience to be a person of peace and instrument
For justice and respect for all people, especially people with a disability
I wish to keep my life simple and always keep in mind the simplicity of Your message: Your Love for all of us
Through Your Divine strength I open in a new way
Committing myself to always try to walk in Your Path. And share in Your Work.
I thank You for the gift of people, the talent of all people and for my own gift of music and song.
It is through respecting each others that we experience oneness with You.
Keep me close and never let me stray from You.
Let me always be a person of hope and certain of Your powerful and gentle presence.

Amen.

Simon Cowell 'learned lessons' from Susan Boyle

Simon Cowell has admitted that Susan Boyle taught him some serious lessons about judging people on their looks.

Speaking on a conference call to promote the X-Factor USA, the 51-year-old confessed that he was 'guilty' of making snap judgements about contestants.

According to Digital Spy, he said, 'You just can't put an age cap on talent. With Susan Boyle, who would have thought this little lady living on her own in Scotland would go on to sell nearly 20 million records? It's just typical of the record business saying that you have to look this way or whatever.

'I was guilty of that. She taught me a huge lesson that I have to be more open-minded. I think the American audience know what talent is and I don't think it matters if you're in your 40s, 50s, 30s or 14 years old. If you have it, you have it. You only have to look at Madonna. She's still one of the most influential artists in the world. It doesn't matter how old she is.'

The X Factor USA will be open to entrants aged as young as 12-years-old. Cowell said the decision to drop the minimum age has stemmed from a change in the market.

Susan Boyle Singing "Paper Roses" At Ian and Lesleys Wedding

Paper Roses - Susan Boyle (1988)

I realize the way your eyes deceived me
With tender looks that I mistook for love;
So take away the flowers that you gave me
And send the kind that you remind me of.

*
Paper Roses
Paper Roses
Oh how real those roses seem to be!
But they're only imitation
Like your imitation lover for me.

I thought that you would be a perfect lover
You seemed so full of sweetness at the start;
But like a big red rose that's made of paper
There isn't any sweetness in your heart.

Piers Morgan – The Next Larry King - CNN

The judge of Britain’s Got Talent show's Piers Morgan has now replaced the anchorman Larry King of the internationally know CNN (Cable New Network). Piers is Susan Boyle's favorite person who also admired her talent after she sang, “I Dreamed A Dream” in 2009.

And Piers gave her an electrifying comment, “Without a doubt, that was the biggest surprise I have had in three years on the show.” Piers was really very surprised that he commented more, “That was stunning. An incredible performance. Amazing, I am reeling. I’m shocked.” Piers gave Susan an outstanding score and said, “The biggest yes, I have ever given anybody.”

Susan Boyle - My Story

The Woman I was born to be

The book of Susan Boyle, "The Woman I was born to be", My Story, tells about her own story and rise to fame. It is a very inspiring (full of emotion: happiness, sadness, humours) story, the truth about her, how did she overcome her learning difficulties and face life challenges to succeed in her dream.

The book tells the life of Susan, the people in her life, who inspires her, who loves her, the words from her family, friends, her faith to God and church, and who guided her, and how she rocked her audience.

The ninth child and the youngest who lived and guided by her mom all her life.
